A Touch of Greece in East Meadow!
My wife and I were looking for a new Greek food sport and picked out Yevma just by chance. Well chance was in our favor. This local spot has modest decor and even sells some Greek food items like a convenience store. Table and chairs were comfortable and we were not squeezed up against our favorite diners. The waiter was friendly and helpful. The owner, a nice lady, seemed genuinely concerned with our satisfaction. The menu is very diverse and a bit confusing. This is a work in progress. However the food itself is excellent. The avoglemono was delicious. It could have been served a tad warmer but that’s ok. Their Greek salad was interesting and good. The dressing was excellent. My wife had the broiled whole bronzing and it was great. Less lemon oil would have been better. I had the falafel and it was great. As were the sautéed veggies. Overall, Yevma is a very good local Greek dining spot with excellent food and service. Try it out!
